Our furnace gas wood drying kiln is an equipment system that uses the hot air flow generated by the combustion furnace to dry wood. Its core principle is simple: burn fuels like coal, firewood, wood chips, or biomass pellets to generate high-temperature flue gas or hot air, which is then introduced into the kiln to remove moisture from the wood—delivering efficient, consistent drying results.
It comes in two heating designs to suit different needs:
- Direct Heating Type: After dust removal and humidity adjustment, combustion-generated furnace gas is sent directly into the kiln, contacting wood to heat and dry it.
- Indirect Heating Type: Furnace gas heats a drying medium (e.g., air or water vapor) via a heat exchanger. The hot medium then dries the wood, avoiding direct contact with pollutants for cleaner results.
- Combustion Heating: Fuels (coal, biomass, wood chips, etc.) are burned in the furnace to produce high-temperature flue gas or hot air.
- Hot Air Transport: The flue gas passes through a heat exchanger (for indirect heating) or directly enters the hot air duct system, then is guided into the kiln by fans.
- Hot Air Drying: High-temperature airflow contacts the wood surface, absorbing surface moisture and promoting internal moisture migration—enabling continuous dehydration.
- Moisture Discharge: Humid air is expelled through the moisture vent to maintain a dry internal environment.
- Temperature Control: Adjust air volume, fuel feed, or inlet temperature to precisely regulate the drying process’s temperature and duration.
- Low Investment Cost: Features a simple structure and uses conventional materials, making it ideal for small to medium-sized wood processing plants with limited budgets.
